Waternet

Waternet Amsterdam, several custom projects

For Amsterdams watercompany Waternet, PLANQ created a design table out of waste of the water company of Amsterdam. The 'eye-catcher' can be admired at the central hall of the headquarter of Waternet. The table is a showcase of how Waternet is conscious about their waste and how else this can be used instead of landfill or burning it down. Therefore we used reeds out of the Amsterdam canals that fill the canals on the map of the table. The table itself is made from a tree derived from 'de Amsterdamse waterleiding duinen', the Amsterdam water pipe dunes, where it had to be cut for maintenance on the water pipes.

WE SAVED THE BEAUTIFUL 55CM THICK TREE FROM BURNING AND CREATED THIS STUNNING STORY TELLING EYECATCHERS!
