.Telia

A green office that hit a ‘purple patch’ in Oslo, Norway

‘Responsibility, future-proof, and flexibility’ were the main keywords for Telia’s new headquarters in Oslo. We couldn’t agree more that recycling, ‘suits’ perfectly to these three features. And that’s exactly what Telia, the leading company of telecommunications in the Nordic region, did. Namely upcycling old purple suits or workwear into new products. The purple veneer comes to its own in, for example, desks, shelves, and table tops. We must say that the new headquarters hit a ‘purple patch’ with meeting the three main keywords.

.Custom-Made Rezign Veneer

For this project, we transformed 2500 kg of purple workwear into our  Rezign® veneer. All uniforms were shredded into small pieces, which were then carded into felt. The felt was eventually pressed with a biodegradable binder into a hard veneer. And this purple veneer lends itself perfectly to new products, such as table tops, desks, and cabinets. A great solution for overstock or old uniforms, which are prevented to end up on the immense mountain of landfill.
